Seat rings
Palmet manufactures high quality, extremely accurate seat rings for large diesel engines, with bore diameters above 200 millimetres. Our manufacturing includes seat rings for intake and exhaust valves. The seat rings for the intake are made from cast iron with high wear resistance. The exhaust seat rings are made from a special alloy of chrome and nickel. The seat rings have high strength in elevated temperatures, high wear resistance and superior corrosion resistance towards sulphur corrosion. Thereby these exhaust seat rings do not require any coating protecting for corrosion at the inner diameter, nor any seat hardfacing.
